How a contract starts
Baseline first, then maintain it
Most new fleets arrive with months of accumulated grime, and you cannot maintain a fleet without first getting it back to a proper baseline. So every contract starts with a one-off deep clean per vehicle, then moves onto a regular schedule that keeps the fleet presentable week after week.
Initial Deep Clean
Full exterior decontamination wash. Wheels, arches and tyres deep cleaned, tar and traffic film removed. Interior fully vacuumed including seats and crevices, every surface cleaned and conditioned, glass inside and out, door shuts and boot edges detailed, heavy stains treated.
Ongoing Maintenance Wash
Traffic film remover pre-spray, hand wash with soft microfibre mitts, wheels and tyres cleaned and dressed, glass and mirrors, lights, grilles, badges and door shuts detailed, pH-neutral rinse and dry. Solvent-free, biodegradable detergents throughout.

Flexible by design: some fleets only want exterior maintenance washes, others insist on interior and exterior every visit. Every contract is tailored to suit, with optional add-ons including sign-writing and decal removal, lease return preparation to BVRLA standards, MOT preparation washes, ceramic coating for commercial vehicles, headlight restoration and engine bay cleans.

Straight answers
What’s the minimum number of vehicles for fleet pricing?
Two vehicles is enough for our fleet pricing. There’s no upper limit either, we currently look after fleets ranging from a couple of vans up to 45+ vehicle operations.
Why do you start fleet contracts with a deep clean?
Most new fleet vehicles come to us with months or years of accumulated grime. Trying to maintain a fleet without first getting it back to a proper baseline never works. We start with a one-time deep clean, then move onto the regular maintenance schedule. After that, ongoing washes are quicker and the fleet stays looking presentable.
Do interiors have to be cleaned every visit?
No. Some businesses only book exterior maintenance washes, others insist on both interior and exterior every visit. We tailor every contract to suit how the fleet is used.
Do you require a long-term contract for fleet washing?
No. Book a regular weekly or monthly schedule, or just call when you need us. Many of our long-term fleet customers started with a one-off booking.
How does invoicing work for fleet customers?
We invoice direct to your business with VAT receipts. Purchase order references can be added if your accounts process requires them. Payment by BACS, debit card or credit card.
Do you wash fleet vehicles in bad weather?
Generally yes. Our technicians arrive prepared for British weather. In severe conditions like heavy rain, ice or gale-force winds, we’ll reschedule with as much notice as possible.
Are MAX WAX fleet washing fully insured?
Yes, comprehensive public liability and motor trade insurance. Certificates available on request for procurement teams.
Do MAX WAX offer courtesy vehicles?
Yes. MAX WAX keep two courtesy vehicles available for customers having work done at our HQ in Shoreham-by-Sea. Useful for fleet customers needing larger jobs without losing a vehicle from operations.
How quickly can MAX WAX start fleet washing?
For one-off mobile fleet washing bookings, often same or next day. For ongoing scheduled fleet contracts, typically within a week of getting your details.
Do you need access to power and water on site?
No. Our Mercedes Citan units are fully self-contained with onboard water tanks and power. We just need parking space and access to the vehicles.
