The detailing studio at Brighton City Airport, Shoreham-by-Sea
The Detailing Studio
Steady light, no weather.
This is the actual room, not a brochure shot, so drag it around and have a look at where your car would spend the day.
Our detailing studio is the place people bring cars for a proper look.
Our detailing studio was purpose-built for one job, because serious paintwork cannot be judged on a driveway. First, steady lighting that shows every mark; second, a controlled environment for coatings to cure in; finally, secure storage on the airfield. We work on everything here, from daily drivers to concours collectors.
Why a studio at all
Some work will not be rushed on a driveway
Our vans handle most jobs beautifully at your door. However, the deepest work needs conditions a driveway cannot offer, so the detailing studio exists for exactly that.
The lighting shows everything
Sunlight flatters paint and shade hides it, so driveway inspections always miss something. As a result, there is nowhere for a swirl mark to hide under the studio lighting, which is why we do machine polishing and paintwork correction here.
A controlled environment
No dust blowing onto wet product, no rain stopping play, and a stable temperature for ceramic and self-healing coatings to cure properly. In other words, the finish you pay for is the finish that leaves the building.
Secure, on the airfield
A full alarm system and 24-hour CCTV cover the premises, and we carry comprehensive insurance that includes overnight storage as standard. Being on the airfield also means we handle aircraft cleaning a few doors down.

What happens here
The work the detailing studio was built for
MAX WAX Prestige
A full day of detailing rather than valeting, inside and out, with a photo of a car at the end of it that does not look like the one you dropped off. In short, photo-worthy is the point.
Β£600 +VAT for a full day.
Paintwork correction
Machine polishing that takes swirl marks and wash scratches out of the clear coat instead of glossing over them. It happens here because the lighting shows the truth at every stage.
From Β£600 +VAT, and most cars take a full day.
Ceramic and self-healing coatings
Coatings lock in whatever sits underneath them, so correction comes first and curing conditions matter. The studio gives a ceramic coating its best possible start.
Because every car differs, the price follows the preparation the paint needs.
Engine bay detailing
A clean engine bay quietly tells the next viewer the car has been cared for everywhere. Also, you can add it to any studio detail.

Common questions
Straight answers
How long does a studio detail take?
A Prestige detail or a paintwork correction takes a full day, and heavily neglected paint can run to two or three. However, you get the honest time estimate before you book, because the studio works on one promise: the car leaves when it is right, not when the clock says so.
Is my car insured while it is with you?
Yes. We carry comprehensive insurance that includes overnight storage as standard, and additionally a full alarm system with 24-hour CCTV covers the premises. Cars regularly stay with us for multi-day work, so the security is built for it.
Can you collect my car?
Yes, we collect and deliver across the local area, and we can also arrange a courtesy car on request. So if you cannot get to Shoreham, the studio can still come to you, in a manner of speaking.
What is the difference between mobile and studio work?
The vans do brilliant valeting at your door, because most jobs do not need more. The studio exists for the work that does: machine polishing, corrections, coatings, and details where steady light and a controlled environment change the result. If you are not sure which your car needs, send us photos and we will say.
Can I see the detailing studio before I book?
Of course. First, drag the tour at the top of this page for a look right now, then drop in at Brighton City Airport and see it in person. A paint check takes about half an hour, it is free, and there is coffee.
