Most people never open the bonnet. You'll want to.

We can make your engine bay look virtually brand new. Every area cleaned, plastics and rubbers re-nourished, and a finish that makes you pop the bonnet over and over again. We have cleaned tens of thousands of engine bays since 2004, at homes and workplaces across the South East or at the studio at Brighton City Airport.

Spotless engine bay after cleaning by MAX WAX

Why bother

Nobody sees it. Buyers do.

A clean engine bay goes down very well with buyers when you prepare your vehicle for sale. It says the car has been looked after everywhere, including the places most owners never touch.

And for the rest of the time it is simply a pleasure to own. Degreased, detailed, and dressed so the plastics and rubbers look fresh instead of grey and perished. The kind of finish that makes you find excuses to open the bonnet.

The honest bit

Safe methods, honest risk

Our methods are tried and tested across tens of thousands of engines since 2004, almost always without issue. Over all those years we have also seen a small handful of problems. They are usually simple to put right, but frustrating when they happen, so we would rather you knew the risk exists than pretend it does not.

You can opt out. If you would rather your engine bay was not cleaned, just tell us and we will make sure the technician looking after your vehicle knows.

Cleaning is at your own risk. Even working in the safest way possible, there is a small chance water can cause an issue, and we take no responsibility for engine issues or malfunction as a result of cleaning.

Common questions

Straight answers

Is engine bay cleaning safe?
Our methods are tried and tested over tens of thousands of engines since 2004, and problems are rare. We still ask you to accept that cleaning is at your own risk, because even working in the safest way possible there is a small chance water can cause an issue.
Can I ask you not to clean the engine bay?
Of course. Plenty of customers prefer to leave it alone. Tell us when you book and we will make sure the technician looking after your vehicle knows.
Does a clean engine bay help when selling the car?
Yes. Buyers read a spotless engine bay as a sign the whole car has been cared for, and it works especially well alongside our preparation for sale service.
Do you come to me or do I bring the car to you?
Either. We clean engine bays at homes and workplaces across Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and the wider South East, or you can bring the car to the studio at Brighton City Airport.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size and state of the bay, so tell us what you drive and what it looks like under there, or send photos on WhatsApp, and we will give you an honest fixed price.
