Interior Cleanse

"To the MAX"

Most valeting and detailing companies place greater emphasis on exterior services for their clients…

At MAX WAX we love a brand-new fresh feeling interior and to us, this is equally as important. We have spent years perfecting the art of the deep interior cleanse to provide our clients with a services designed to give them the perfect interior.

FRESH

When should this work take place?

Deep cleaning of your vehicle’s interior can happen any time of the year, however shampooing to all fabrics and surfaces is sensibly an activity that should take place during dryer times of the year. It is possible to aid drying, introducing heat via dryers used in conjunction with the vehicles own heat and air conditioning system. It is always preferable drying occurs naturally during the dryer warmer months of the year.

Think about your washing machine at home and what happens if you forget to empty the washing load. Leaving a washing load in the machine even for a day or so can leave laundry to smell bad. Ideally as soon as the machine has finished your laundry is hung outside to air dry on a warm and breezy day. We all know this to be the ideal way to ensure fresh smelling, dry laundry.

We advise the same for your car’s interior, once we have finished the works to the interior of your vehicle the ideal solution to dry the interior would be to leave windows down a fraction, allowing moisture to escape while the sun penetrates through the glass to warm the interior. If we need to, we will run your vehicle for a short period of time with your cars heating on maximum pointing down to the floor. All floor mats should be dried separately and not placed on top of damp carpets as this will also prevent drying.

What do we do?

The first stage is dry extraction of all dust and debri from the interior.

Before any shampooing can take place, it is important to remove all loose debris and dust from within the interior. If we were to start shampooing without thoroughly dry vacuuming the vehicle it could potentially work the dust further into the vehicle turning the dust to mud getting pushed deeper into the carpets and soft fabrics. We use powerful dry vacuums along with multiple brushing tools to remove all dust from within your vehicle prior to any shampooing taking place. This is a very physical task that can be aided with the use of brush drill attachments whist vacuuming to extract all dust from within the vehicle.

The second stage is to shampoo, this involves the repetitive task of emulsifying dirt and extracting, followed by rinsing to neutralise.

Once the dust and debris has been fully removed, we will work sectionally from top to bottom spraying down with a safe low foaming fabric shampoo to break down stains and dirt. This shampoo once sprayed down to a section will be agitated to emulsify dirt into liquid form. We then use powerful extraction machines to remove this dirt from your vehicle. The process of spraying down low foaming interior shampoo, agitating to emulsify and then extracting is repeated until we see no dirty water being extracted through the clear extraction attachment. Finally it is then important we neutralise and rinse with clean hot water, this is repeated until we are not extracting any shampoo suds.

How long does this work take?

Like any work we carry out, more time allows for a better job. However, if we are looking after a medium sized vehicle of average age and condition the standard Interior MAX service will take us 2 hours to complete. There are multiple stages within our valets, it is important that each stage is carried out to a satisfactory level in sequence. With car interiors the main thing that will mean we require more time is removal of dust and debris. Obviously if you have pets, children, smoke or eat food within the vehicle on a regular basis these are things that are going to take us longer to effectively deal with.

Regular Maintenance of the Interior

The best way to keep your vehicles interior in nice condition is to regularly vacuum the interior, no different from your home. Failure to regularly vacuum to remove dust and debris will result in the interior surfaces being subject to more wear.
