What it is
Metalwork, not paintwork
A bodyshop fixes a dent by filling and repainting the panel. Paintless dent removal fixes it by putting the metal back where it was, so there is nothing to fill and nothing to paint.
The rod does the work
We get behind the panel through existing openings, then ease the metal back with hundreds of small, controlled pushes, reading the light board the whole time. It is slow-motion precision rather than force.
Your factory paint survives
Modern paint flexes further than most people expect, so a dented panel is usually a bent panel with healthy paint on it. Because nothing is filled or sprayed, there is no colour-match risk and nothing ages differently to the rest of the car.
Why that matters when you sell
A resprayed panel shows up on an inspection and invites questions. PDR leaves nothing to find, so the car keeps its original-paint story. If you are preparing the car for sale, this is the cheapest £300 you will ever claw back from a buyer.

Before you book
When paintless dent removal is the wrong tool
PDR is brilliant at one thing, so we would rather tell you from the photo when your dent needs something else.
Paint that is cracked or chipped
If the impact broke the paint, pushing the metal back still leaves broken paint. That is a repair job for MAX PAINT, our paint and wheel side, and we will say so straight away.
Scratches and swirl marks
If the metal has not moved, there is nothing for a rod to do. Marks in the clear coat are a job for paintwork correction instead, which polishes them out of the paint itself.
Sharp creases on panel edges
Metal stretched hard over an edge sometimes cannot come all the way back. We will tell you from the photo, not at your door, and you will know the realistic finish before you spend anything.

Lease and PCP inspectors charge £300 to £500 or more per dent at handback, priced at bodyshop rates you never see coming. PDR removes the same dent for a fraction of that, and because nothing is repainted there is nothing on the record afterwards. So book it before the inspection, not after the invoice. First, take a photo square-on with a coin next to the dent for scale, and one from an angle so the light catches it. We will come back with a firm price, usually within the hour.
2. We come to you
Next, we book you in at home or work, anywhere across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, because the vans carry their own power and lighting. Most single dents are done in under an hour.
3. Check it in the light
Finally, you inspect the panel under our light board before we pack up. If the stripes run straight, the dent is gone, and there is no paint drying and no hire car to return.

How long does paintless dent removal take?
Most single dents take under an hour at your door. Creases and larger dents can take two or three hours, and hail damage is a bigger job we quote as a whole. Either way, you get the time estimate with the price, so there are no surprises on the day.
Will it damage my paintwork?
No, and that is the whole point of the method. Factory paint is flexible enough to move with the metal, so easing the panel back does not disturb it. Because nothing is filled or sprayed, there is also no colour-match risk and no repair on the car’s record.
What dents cannot be fixed?
If the paint is cracked, chipped or scratched through, PDR alone will not be enough, because the paint itself needs repairing. Very sharp creases and dents on panel edges can also be beyond it. Send the photo and we will be honest about what is possible before you spend anything.
Is it cheaper than a bodyshop?
Usually by a wide margin. There is no filler, no paint, no days off the road and no courtesy car to organise, so a dent that would cost hundreds at a bodyshop is often gone for £80 to £180. The finish is also better for the car’s value, because the original paint stays.
