Matt joined the MAX WAX team in 2019, purchasing a MAX WAX Franchise trading as MAX WAX Worthing. It was obvious Matt was a hit with customers early on as his name features all over our review pages.

We asked Matt about life before he started his Franchise.

"Prior to becoming a MAX WAX franchisee, I used to be a Marketing and Events Manager at Sussex & Surrey Life Magazine. I started my career path by leaving school at 16 and started  an apprenticeship in Business and marketing before completing a level 4 diploma in Marketing by the young age of 18. I then pushed on working my way up the ladder gaining more understanding of how a business operates".

Matt on achieving a happy work/life balance:

"It's not all about MAX WAX. I enjoy spending my down time with family and friends. I've always been interested in Greyhound racing and recently became a co owner of a few racing greyhounds. Football has always been a massive interest, supporting Brighton & Hove Albion. I've got a portfolio of investments in the stock market and cryptocurrencies. I've always had a keen interest in business and this is where the desire to purchase a MAX WAX Franchise first emerged".

We asked Matt what he likes about operating as a MAX WAX Franchisee:

“I wanted to make sure my hard work and determination would secure my future and pay off. I know that more than 60% of new business fail within the first 3 years of operation. I knew I needed a helping hand and then the search for a franchise begun. Fast forward nearly 3 years and here we are".

"The franchise model at MAX WAX takes the pressure off finding your own work (especially at the start) and at the same time the freedom to put my own bookings in”.

Like all MAX WAX Franchisees, Matt went through our 3-week in-house training programme, covering the basic aspects a foundation in preparation for what lies ahead.

Matt comments:

“The training is very thorough, there is more to valeting and detailing than meets the eye. I really love the work I do, seeing the transformation and knowing what is achievable is the part that gives me a real buzz. If only everyone could feel and see what is achievable when deciding if they really need my valeting and detailing services at start; I guess that's where my social media and imagery of what I do is so important”

Matt proudly showcases his work on the usual social media platforms, which in turn get praised by his existing clients and his audience is steadily growing.

Social media is great for images and showing that my franchise is in business with recent work we have undertaken but it's not where most customers look first when they are in need of valeting and detailing services”.

Managing Director, Tristan Green summarises that Matt is very well suited to operating as a mobile detailing technician, Matt gives us confidence in what we do as the quality of his work is spot on. It’s safe to say Matt's financial stability is going from strength to strength whilst operating his MAX WAX Franchise. Matt's franchise continues to flourish with plans for the future;

“MAXWAX Worthing has developed at a steady pace over the last few years. With out a doubt there are highs and lows just as there are in any business but with clear growth plans and an exciting vision we have gone from strength to strength. In 2021 Callum joined the team, he is excelling now he has found a role that gives him great satisfaction in the work he does. Having an extra pair of hands that are now as highly skilled as my own enables me to take on nearly double the contracts I would operating solo. Not only that but I have someone working with me sharing the same vision I have for the growth of my Franchise business.”

We asked Matt about his future plans for his MAX WAX Franchise;

“Growth and development. It’s exciting looking to the future because it really is what you make of it and how far you are willing to go to make something successful. With some hard work and determination I am hoping the business will double in size within the next two years, meaning I will need to take a few steps back and pass on my knowledge to others in order to concentrate on the day to day running of the franchise. That being said it will always be difficult to put down the tools because I enjoy what I do at MAXWAX Worthing.”
